storefront art projects is proud to present Farm to Table, a two-person exhibition with photographs by Gloucester photographer and poet Paul Cary Goldberg, and paintings and drawings by Pioneer Valley realist Rachel Folsom (1944-2025). Rachel Folsom rendered fruits and vegetables with great love and detail. Her split red pepper with a few clinging seeds glows on a hyper-real, white, water-speckled background. The painting calls out to Paul’s detailed photograph of a cluster of white seeds resting in the palm of a farmer’s soil-embedded hand. And Paul’s black and white photogravures of twigs and stems echo Rachel’s graphite drawings of scapes, leeks, and onions on clayboard. 

Though these two artists never met, their work has an uncanny similarity and sensibility. Rachel’s work is in the permanent collection of the New Britain Museum and Paul’s is in the collections of the Boston MFA, Cleveland Museum, and Harvard Art Museum. He has a piece in the current show Division of Labor: Work in the United States at Dartmouth’s Hood Museum.
